Click cost

This metric measures the traffic generated to your website or landing pages by counting the number of clicks on the social media posts your ambassadors have shared.
These clicks can come from campaigns with a link included. This can be a link in the sharing copy, or can also include a link share.

The number of clicks is multiplied by the cost per click (CPC) configured for your company.

Formula:

Click cost = Number of clicks × CPC

The result is an estimation of how much it would have cost to generate the same amount of traffic using traditional advertising. In other words, this metric shows how much money you’re saving by organically sharing your content through your ambassadors instead of paying for ads.

Setting a CPC

Defining a fixed CPC in Ambassify isn’t always straightforward. It depends on many factors such as targeting, campaign length, ad creative, device, and platform.
To make things easier, we provide industry average CPCs that you can use as a reference when setting your own.

Engagement metrics for shared posts

Ambassify also lets you measure engagement performance directly on your ambassadors’ shared social posts.
These metrics are available for posts shared via our API share feature and supported for LinkedIn (personal or company), Facebook Pages, and X (Twitter).

Available metrics

  • Impressions: The number of times a post was shown in a user’s feed, search results, or on your company page (not available for Facebook Pages).

  • Reach: The number of unique people who saw the post (not supported for X and Facebook Pages).

  • Reactions: The total likes, favorites, or other reactions (e.g., 👍 ❤️ 🎉).

  • Comments: The number of comments received on the shared post.

  • Reposts: The number of times the post was reshared.

Requirements

To see these metrics, make sure that:

  • API share is enabled on your account.

  • The post is on a supported network (LinkedIn, LinkedIn Companies, Facebook Pages, or X).

  • The post was not shared anonymously from a landing page campaign.
