When you try to connect more Facebook Pages or LinkedIn Companies (called "accounts" in this article) during the configuration of your import sources, Ambassify will show a list of all the accounts it is able to retrieve from Facebook or LinkedIn. This article is meant to help you out in case the account you wanted to add as an import source is not in that list.

After clicking the "Connect more ..." button and optionally going through the process of logging in and granting permissions on Facebook or LinkedIn you will arrive at the screen below.

  1. Make sure you were logged in on Facebook or LinkedIn using the right account, we show you the name and avatar of the user we received after you connected. If this was not you, follow the instructions of going to the social media network's website and logging in with the right account.

  2. This is the list of accounts we were able to retrieve, if it has all the accounts you were expecting, you're all set, just check the boxes and click the save button to continue. If there are no accounts in the list or one or more are missing, read on to resolve the problem.

LinkedIn

When you are having problems with LinkedIn companies, you can go to the LinkedIn homepage and check which companies you manage. See the red squares in the image below.

If the company you are looking for is not visible in those places on LinkedIn, that means you do not have enough permissions. You'll have to talk to people in your company to solve this. If however the company is visible on LinkedIn but not in the list on Ambassify, there might be a problem on the Ambassify side. Please contact support and make sure to send us a screenshot of your LinkedIn homepage.

Facebook

For Facebook there are two steps to take. First we'll ensure you manage the Pages you are looking for and then we'll verify you have granted Ambassify the required permissions.

First off, go to the Pages overview on Facebook by clicking this link. The title should says something like "pages you manage" and be followed by a list of Facebook pages. If the page you are looking for is not visible in the list, that means you do not have enough permissions. You'll have to talk to people in your company to solve this. If your page is in this list but not in Ambassify, continue reading.

To verify you've given Ambassify the required permissions:

  1. Go to your "Business integrations" settings at this link. You should see "Ambassify App" in the list. If not, you need to connect again using the "Connect more Facebook Pages" button in Ambassify.

  2. Click on the "Ambassify App" row in the list. A popup detailing the permissions you've granted will open.

  3. Make sure at least the following permissions are enabled:

(There might be more permissions. Please don't disable them as they are probably in use for different Ambassify features like sharing.)

  4. Now for both of these permissions, there'll be a list of Facebook Pages to which the permissions are applied. The lists should contain all the pages you saw in the previous step. If the page you are looking for is not visible in the list, that means you do not have enough permissions. You'll have to talk to people in your company to solve this.

  5. Make sure all the pages you want to use in Import Sources are enabled for both the permissions from step 3.

  6. Click on the save button of the popup.

  7. Refresh Ambassify.

  8. If the pages are still not available, there might be a problem on the Ambassify side. Please contact support and make sure to send us some screenshots of your managed pages and the permissions that are configured in Facebook.
