Ambassify has several tools that make creating campaigns a breeze. The tools discussed in this article are

How these tools work

Once you configure an RSS feed or a webpage, we (Ambassify) will attempt to open these pages on our servers and extract social media metadata. The software we run on our servers is commonly known as a bot or a scraper. This metadata can then be converted into a proper title, description, and visualization for your campaign.

Granting access

These days bots and scrapers are not welcomed as much, since there are a lot of bots out there that will try to copy or steal content without permission.

As a result of this bad behavior, many companies have started to put blockades in place to prevent these bots from any unauthorized use. However, these mitigation techniques might also affect the functionality provided by Ambassify.

To resolve this issue, you should request that the Ambassify servers be whitelisted in the (web application) firewalls that protect your website.

Any legitimate request by Ambassify to read content from your website will contain a X-Ambassify header that is set to Yes. Based on this information, your IT department should be able to make an exception to this blockade.
