LinkedIn has started gradually rolling out a change affecting how post images appear when sharing links to external websites.

The change targets posts containing links leading to third-party websites. Previously, such posts automatically displayed a large-format image sourced from the linked content (or added by the user), accompanied by a headline and URL.

However, LinkedIn's new approach involves deprioritizing posts that steer users away from the platform. When a post includes a link with a prepopulated headline and URL, the associated image is reduced to a thumbnail size placed alongside the headline.

Here are a couple of ideas for you to consider:

Native posts on LinkedIn: Image(s), video, or PDF share campaigns

When you directly upload the image(s), video, or PDF on Ambassify and add the link to the sharing copy, the video or image will be shared natively on LinkedIn, which looks nice on LinkedIn.

Here, you can find more information about the image share campaign, video share campaign, or carousel share campaign.

Put effort into your sharing copy

With visual elements' prominence reduced, the copy accompanying link posts becomes essential. Try to write compelling hooks and insights to encourage viewers to engage with the content and click through on the link.
