Do you have a particular image or a new campaign visual that you want the world to see? With Ambassify's "Share an Image" campaign, you can easily provide your audience with the visual and enable your ambassadors to share it with their social networks directly.

How does it work?

Go to Create campaign and select the Share an Image campaign type in the catalog. When building your campaign, you are asked to upload the image that you want your audience to share. To also make this image visible in the campaign itself and give your audience a preview. We advise uploading the same image as a header image.

Next up, you can add rewards to your campaign and target the right audience.

Extra settings

Depending on if API sharing is enabled/disabled in your account, there are a few more settings to take into account.

API sharing is enabled:

  • As an admin, you don't have to configure the sharing settings for the channels that are supported by the API share (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook Pages).

  • If you add networks to share on that don't support API sharing (E.g. Whatsapp, Facebook personal profiles, Pinterest, ...), you will have to configure your sharing settings for these networks: open your campaign in draft > head to Sharing in the left side-bar and fill in the Sharing copy (Title, description, and illustration)

  • When sharing an image, adding a default message for each network is common. This way, your advocates share the image together with a context-providing message

  • For Linkedin, Twitter, and Facebook Pages, users will be able to share the image straight from the campaign and the image will show directly in their feed / on their wall (together with the sharing copy and/or default message).

  • For the networks that don't support API sharing, users will get a classic pop-up to share images. This means they will share a link to the image on their feed instead of actually sharing the image itself.

The video below shows how the campaign looks when it is published in the community. As you can see, it's very easy for your community members to share your image with their social networks.

API sharing is disabled

  • As an admin you have to fully configure your sharing settings: open your campaign in draft > head to Sharing in the left side-bar and fill in the Sharing copy (Title, description, and illustration)

  • Shares are not verified

  • There is no dedicated share button for Facebook Pages

Tip: sharing GIF visuals

When combined with API share, you can use the "Share and Image" campaign to upload a GIF. This is a great way to share short videos and animated visuals. Moreover, GIF videos are shown in-feed on social networks (e.g., LinkedIn), they start playing automatically, play in a loop, and therefore catch more attention, which is ideal when you want to share animations that play in a sequence.

Remember, this is only possible via API share. In any other case, it is not possible due to the limitations set by the social media websites.
